Temporary Casual Shifts
£12.50 to £13.50 per hour
We are recruiting Care Assistants to work across nursing homes and residential care homes throughout Lancashire and West Yorkshire. This is a casual, flexible role supporting adults with a range of complex care needs.
The Role
You will provide hands on care and support within residential and nursing settings, ensuring high standards of dignity, safety and person centred care.
Key responsibilities include:
• Delivering personal care including washing, dressing and toileting
• Supporting residents with dementia and Alzheimer’s
• Supporting individuals with brain injuries and learning disabilities
• Supporting residents with mental health conditions including schizophrenia
• Assisting with mobility, meals and hydration
• Observing and reporting changes in behaviour or wellbeing
• Working in line with care plans and risk assessments
• Maintaining accurate daily notes and handovers
• Following safeguarding, medication and health and safety procedures
• Maintaining professional boundaries at all times
Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
• Previous experience working as a Care Assistant in residential or nursing settings
• Experience supporting at least some of the following dementia, Alzheimer’s, brain injuries, learning disabilities, mental health conditions
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• Ability to work flexibly across different services and locations
• A caring, reliable and professional approach
• Basic IT skills for record keeping
