Job Title: Production Operative
Location: Kirkby-In-Furness
Fixed Term Contract - 12 months
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, 6am - 4pm over 4 days (with two breaks)
Role Overview
As a Production Operative, you will play a vital role in the manufacturing process, ensuring that stone is extracted and delivered according to specifications. Your responsibilities will include sawing, drilling, packing, and loading stone products, along with other essential tasks that support our client's operations and meet customer demands.
Key Responsibilities
Operate machinery for sawing, drilling, and splitting stone.
Pack and unpack stone products with precision.
Load and unload deliveries efficiently.
Select and dress slate as required.
Collaborate with team members to maintain high safety and quality standards.
What We Are Looking For
Previous experience in the stone industry is preferred but not essential.
A strong aptitude for manual work and physical tasks.
Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently.
Strong communication skills.
Flexibility to work additional hours when needed.
A valid driving licence and vehicle, as the site is not accessible by public transport.
