Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator on behalf of a client in Hortonwood, Telford. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machinery used in fabrication processes, ensuring high-quality output and efficient workflow. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in materials handling, assembly, and tooling.
Initial training will be on days 8am-4pm for a period of roughly two weeks then will move on to rotational shifts of 7am-3pm / 3pm-11pm.
Duties

Set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing machinery.

Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and adjustments on equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Handle materials safely and efficiently, including loading, unloading, and organising components within the factory.

Maintain a clean and organised work environment adhering to safety standards.
Qualifications

Proven experience in fabrication, machining, or manufacturing environments.

Mechanical knowledge including the use of hand tools and materials handling.

Strong understanding of tooling setup and operation within a manufacturing context.

Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.

Warehouse experience or background in assembly is advantageous.
