I’m currently working with a well-established RC Frame & Groundworks subcontractor turning over circa £35m per annum, delivering major structural packages on projects typically valued up to £10m.
With a strong pipeline of work secured, the business is now looking to bring on an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial team across a portfolio of live projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to develop within a reputable specialist contractor and gain hands-on exposure to complex, high-value projects.
The Role Reporting into a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with the commercial management of RC frame and groundworks packages

Supporting with valuations, variations, cost reporting and final accounts

Working closely with site and operational teams to track progress and costs

Assisting in subcontractor procurement and account management

Helping to maintain accurate commercial records and forecasts
You’ll be given structured support, mentoring and the opportunity to take on more responsibility as you progress.
The Ideal Candidate You will:

Have at least 1 year’s experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial role

Hold a commercial degree (Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management)

Ideally have some exposure to RC frames, groundworks or civil engineering, although this is not essential

Be motivated, detail-oriented and keen to develop a long-term career in commercial management

Have good communication skills and the confidence to work with site and commercial teams
