Learning Support Assistant (Secondary) – Supply
Location: Doncaster
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
PK Education are currently recruiting a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work on a full-time, long-term supply basis in a secondary schools in Doncaster.
This is an excellent opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting young people in their education.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You may be supporting students on a 1:1 basis or working with small groups, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting students with additional learning needs, including SEND Providing 1:1 or small group support in and out of the classroom
Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Supporting students’ academic, social and emotional development
Helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
Following school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times
Requirements
Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience preferred)
A genuine passion for supporting students in a secondary school setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, resilience and a positive attitude
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE, Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential
