We are currently recruiting for aMulti Skilled Operative to join our amazing team at our Tarmac Bredbury Asphalt Plant, Stockport. As well as Stockport, this role is easily accessible fromOldham, Bolton, Blackburn, St Helens, Warrington, Chester, Crewe, Stoke on Trent, Macclesfield,Huddersfieldand surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility

Reporting directly to theOperations Managerthe duties of the Multi Skilled Operativewill include the day-to-day operations, as well as delivering best in class Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance for our Plant operations. As aMulti Skilled Operativeyou will specifically focus on operational tasks including:

Mixing asphalt to specification Working with other members of the team to ensure that customers getgood qualitymaterial and on-time deliveries Weighbridge duties Loading shovel (mobile Plant) Assisting the Supervisor with meeting daily/weekly production targets Ensuring Plantconforms with safety requirements at all times Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality responsibilities Following Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures Inspections on the Plant and acting on defects and implement remedial action Assistingin the maintenance regime of the Plant Ensuring that Plant availability is maximised Working to keep housekeeping around site to a high standard

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role of Multi Skilled Operativewill be able todemonstrateproven experience working within an Industrial, Factory or similar environment as an operative or labourer. As well aspossessinggood communicationskills and have a real desire in developing both operative and supervisory skills.

To succeed in this role ofMulti Skilled Operativewe would expect a candidate toevidence:

Knowledge of Plant and ideallypossesspreviousexperience in mobile Plant operations Shovel Licence – desirable Be flexible and able to work as part of an effective Multi-Skilled Operative team Beself motivatedand able to motivate other colleagues in the team Good timekeeping – flexible as to the Units requirements  Good communicationskills – bringing problems to the attention of Line Management Full UK Driving Licence IT LiterateWhy Tarmac
