Job Title: Logistics Operative
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am - - 5:30pm (40 Hours)
Hourly Rate: £17.30ph - £18.27ph
We’re looking for a hands‑on, organised Logistics Operative to support a busy, high‑tech manufacturing environment producing advanced components.
Responsibilities of the Logistics Operative:
• Keep the goods‑in/out area organised, tidy, and running smoothly,
• Handle all goods-in to the building, conducting inspections where required and ensuring they are delivered to the
right person or department in a timely manner
• Pack products according to the packing specification ensuring any relevant paperwork is updated
• Arrange shipments, including preparing necessary paperwork, delivery notes and labelling
• Monitor and maintain the inventory in the goods-out area
• Communicate the status of shipments effectively with stakeholders at all levels across operations and
engineering.
Essentials for the Logistics Operative:
• Proven experience in a logistics or warehousing role.
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Willingness to support Engineering and Operations staff
• Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in logistics operations.
Desirable for the Logistics Operative:
• Experience in high value manufacturing.
• Willingness to work flexible hours if needed.
• Forklift license
