Role: Machine Operator
Location: Mildenhall
Pay: £13.00 - £15.00 p/hour
Hours: Monday to Friday during the training period (08:00-17:00, approx. 2-6 weeks), then Sunday to Tuesday 06:00-18:00, plus every other Wednesday
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: This is a permanent role subject to a successful 3-month temporary probation period
An established manufacturing business based in Mildenhall is looking for a Lathe Machine Operator to join their production team. This is a hands-on role offering stability, a fixed shift pattern, and a clear route to a permanent position for the right candidate.

What We're Looking For:
Previous lathe experience isn't essential but desirable
Comfortable working with machinery in a manufacturing environment
Reliable, hands-on, and safety-conscious
Willingness to learn and develop skills furtherDuties Include:
Operating lathe and production machinery
Carrying out machine start-up and shut-down procedures
Monitoring quality and reporting any issues
Assisting with tooling changes and machine adjustments
Performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting
Keeping the work area clean, organised, and safe
Working as part of a team to meet daily production deadlines
