About the role – Learning support assistant
We are seeking a caring and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join a secondary academy and provide targeted support to students across the school. Working closely with teachers and the SEN team, you will support individuals and small groups, helping to remove barriers to learning and build confidence. The role involves assisting students with additional needs, promoting independence, and encouraging positive behaviour in the classroom. Strong communication skills, patience, and adaptability are essential. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic progress and personal development within a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
About the school – Learning support assistant
This all through school based in the inner London borough of Newham cater to students aged 3 to 16 of the local area. The school has a 43-acre site with impressive facilities in every phase and in every subject area. A total of 2078 students on roll and an ASD Resource provision with 26 students, the school have been able to maintain a Good Ofsted for many years now. Over the years, this school has seen substantial improvements in examination results and rates of student progress where pupils are known to behave well, work hard in lessons and are keen to succeed.
