A friendly and inclusive primary school in Gloucester is looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about working with children who present challenging behaviour and Special Educational Needs (SEND) within a caring and positive setting.
In this role, you will work across Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, supporting pupils to regulate their emotions, develop healthy relationships, and re-engage with learning.
Academics Ltd is seeking a compassionate and proactive individual with either relevant experience or a genuine interest in supporting children with behavioural, emotional, or additional needs. You will deliver both one-to-one and small group support, working closely with teachers and the wider school community to promote positive behaviour and emotional development.

£89- £100 per day (dependent on experience)
Full-time, term-time only (8:30 am - 3:30 pm)Key Responsibilities of a Behaviour Support Assistant:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with behavioural and SEND needs, helping them regulate emotions and participate fully in class.
Implement tailored behaviour management strategies to meet individual pupil needs.
Collaborate with teachers to maintain a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
Support with de-escalation and proactive management of challenging behaviour.
Work alongside the SENCO, teaching staff, and parents to create and review individualised support plans.
Promote wellbeing and safety during lessons, breaktimes, and school activities.What Academics Ltd are looking for
