Job Purpose
Multi Skilled Drivers carry out the collection and exchange of workshop waste containers from businesses and automotive sources whilst promoting strong workplace values. The role is based out of the Barracks Road site in Stourport.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
The Multi Skilled Collection Driver will be involved in a wide range of duties, including:

Professional HGV Class 2 driving – dual role on tanker and/or rigid box

Loading and offloading of vehicle, including multi-drop collections

Rigid box work: manual transportation of garage waste (bins, drums, IBCs)

Tanker work: collection of waste oils

Completion of all relevant electronic documentation to generate consignment notes

Maintaining compliance with all relevant legislation, including daily walk-round checks and drivers’ hours

Adhering to Health & Safety policies and procedures

Representing the business professionally when dealing with customers and members of the public

Applying workplace values to the role and maintaining a positive attitude
Essential Skills and Experience

Experience working in a similar environment is essential

Physically capable, as the role involves lifting and carrying waste containers

Clear communication skills with customers and colleagues

Ability to work unsupervised

Team player

Flexible to work longer hours during busy periods and stay out overnight when required

Standard hours: 48 hours per week

Monday to Friday

After a successful initial period in the role, drivers will be given paid time to complete an ADR qualification, with the course fully funded. A training agreement will apply, requiring repayment of a proportion of the cost if the employee leaves within a specified timeframe.

Night-out allowance: £26.20 per night
-
Meal allowance: £7 per day (provided via salary sacrifice)

Collection bonus: £2 per collection for up to 25 collections per week (average expectation is approximately 5 collections per day)

Enhanced collection rate: Collections 26 and above paid at £10 per collection

Annual leave: 23 days plus bank holidays, increasing by 1 day per year up to a maximum of 25 days
