We’re partnering with a leading, people-focused consultancy that delivers high-profile infrastructure and site development projects across the UK. They are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their team and support the delivery of multiple projects within a major programme.
This role is full-time with a flexible working arrangement: typically 3-4 days on site and 1-2 days working from home. What You’ll Be Doing
As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll support the delivery of complex infrastructure projects, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly, efficiently, and to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting project delivery across planning, scheduling, budgeting, quality, risk, and resource management
Assisting in the development and maintenance of Project Execution Plans and Performance Measurement Baselines
Coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams and liaising with internal and external stakeholders
Helping to identify, assess and manage project risks, providing solutions and escalation where needed
Supporting commercial and contractual decision-making to help ensure successful project outcomes
Monitoring progress against project schedules and budgets, and reporting updates to senior management
Ensuring projects comply with governance frameworks, quality standards, and health & safety requirements

Gain experience with NEC forms of contract (NEC4 preferred), including change management and compensation events
What They’re Looking For
Some experience in construction or infrastructure project delivery (assistant/early-career PM roles preferred)
Understanding of project planning, controls, risk, change, and performance management
Strong organisation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams
Knowledge of NEC contracts or willingness to learn
Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline
Professional Project Management qualification or equivalent practical experience
