Assistant Site Manager - Temporary Contract (16 Weeks)

Role Overview
We are currently seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support a main contractor delivering social housing works across Welwyn and Hatfield. This is a temporary role for an initial 16-week period, supporting the Site Manager with day-to-day site operations and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Site Manager with the daily running of social housing sites
Oversee subcontractors and operatives to ensure productivity and quality standards are met
Ensure all works are carried out in line with health & safety regulations, company policies, and RAMS
Assist with site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings
Monitor progress against programme and report any issues or delays
Carry out quality checks and assist with snagging and handovers
Liaise with residents, client representatives, and supply chain partners as required
Maintain accurate site records, diaries, and documentation
Requirements
Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor within social housing
Experience working for a main contractor
Good knowledge of repairs, maintenance, voids, or planned works
Strong understanding of health & safety and site compliance
SMSTS or SSSTS preferred
CSCS card required
Good communication and organisational skills
