Our client, a leader in the civil engineering sector, is currently seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor on a contract basis to join their team working on high-volume, lower-value projects at Manchester Airport.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the delivery of high-volume, lower-value works typically up to £3-4m
Administering NEC contracts from start to finish
Drafting, managing, and running tenders
Managing contract processes end-to-end
Working within a complex stakeholder environment
Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports
Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
Liaising with clients and subcontractors as necessary
Job Requirements:
Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
Experience in quantity surveying, particularly within the context of high-volume, lower-value projects
Hands-on experience with NEC contract administration
Proficiency in drafting and managing tenders
Ability to manage end-to-end contract processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
Airport/aviation experience desirable
