About the Role

As a Medical Lab Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of laboratory services. We are happy to consider candidates with experience in Microbiology, Haematology, Biochemistry, or Histopathology, as well as those who have worked in specimen reception.
Key Responsibilities

Perform routine laboratory tasks under supervision, ensuring compliance with NHS standards.

Handle and process patient samples accurately and efficiently.

Support senior laboratory staff in maintaining workflow and quality control.

Maintain accurate records and adhere to data protection and confidentiality guidelines.

Assist in specimen reception and preparation for analysis.
Requirements

Minimum of 1 year UK experience as a Medical Lab Assistant (MLA) – essential.

Background in one or more of the following: Microbiology, Haematology, Biochemistry, Histopathology, or specimen reception.
