About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Systems Administrator to support, maintain and develop the schools IT systems and infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring systems are secure and reliable, while acting as a senior technical escalation point within the IT team.
Key responsibilities

Manage, maintain and monitor core IT systems to ensure availability, performance and security

Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPNs and other network services

Support and develop server, virtualisation and backup environments

Act as a third-line escalation point for complex technical issues

Lead system upgrades, improvements and small-scale IT projects

Perform routine system checks, updates, patching and vulnerability reviews

Create and maintain technical documentation
Key Requirements
-
Proven experience in a Systems Administrator or similar role

Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments and Active Directory

Experience with virtualisation, backup solutions and network infrastructure

Familiarity with firewalls, security best practices and system monitoring

Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement long-term solutions
