adi Facilities Engineering - Building Fabric & Compliance Operative
Location - This role is based full-time at a client site in Wolverhampton.
About the Role
As a Building Fabric & Compliance Operative, you will work directly on key client sites as part of a dedicated on-site facilities and engineering team. This is a hands-on role supporting non-core engineering, facilities and utilities operations.
Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:
Hands-on maintenance and operation of building services, utilities and infrastructure
Repair and maintenance of pipework, HVAC systems, heating, cooling, refrigeration, compressed air and associated equipment
Supporting utilities plant including effluent plant, boiler house and compressed air systems
Ensuring compliance with all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements
Carrying out fault finding, root cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and minor project works
Assisting with planned maintenance schedules and reactive call-outs
Managing contractors and agency workers safely when required
About you
We would like to hear from you if you have:
Experience in an FM, industrial or building services environment
Hands-on experience with utilities plant (boilers, refrigeration, compressed air, effluent plant)
Good knowledge of HVAC, heating, plumbing and building infrastructure systems
Fabrication, metalwork and pipework installation experience
A strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation (PUWER, LOLER, Working at Height, Electricity at Work)
Experience with permits to work, LOTO and maintenance record keeping
IPAF, PASMA, CSCS and relevant H&S qualifications (desirable)
Experience in a hygienic or FMCG food manufacturing environment (advantageous)The Benefits
