The Position – Learning Support Assistant
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working in a Year 5 class, providing 1:1 support for a girl with ASD, helping her regulate emotions, remain engaged, and access learning. You will also be doing small-group intervention work with pupils who are significantly behind academically in literacy and numeracy. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised strategies, deliver interventions, and track progress. This role requires someone who is firm but nurturing, highly engaging, and proactive in supporting learning and behaviour. This is a long-term position, ideal for someone looking to make a real impact in upper KS2.
