Job Overview A well-established manufacturing business is currently seeking an experienced Wood Machinist to join their production team. The role involves producing furniture components and finished pieces, working from technical drawings and using a variety of woodworking machinery. Key Responsibilities

Working from technical drawings and specifications to produce a wide range of furniture components and finished pieces

Operating both hand tools and woodworking machinery, including band saws, planers, spindle moulders, and sanders
-
Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling timber and other materials with precision
-
Assembling finished furniture and carrying out quality checks, identifying and addressing any issues
-
Ensuring high-quality standards and attention to detail at all stages of production

Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop

Always adhering to all health and safety regulations
Requirements
-
Previous wood machining experience is essential

Experience using band saws and similar woodworking machinery

Ability to read and work from technical drawings

Strong attention to detail and quality

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
