Assistant Project Manager / Project Manager
Major Defence Programme | Firth of Clyde
We are currently supporting a major client-side organisation delivering a £250m+ programme of live defence works on the Firth of Clyde and are looking to appoint Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers to join the team.
This opportunity is particularly well-suited to Assistant Site Managers or Site Managers working with Tier 1 / Tier 2 or main contractors who are keen to move client-side, while still remaining closely involved on site and at the heart of project delivery.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of projects across a live operational environment, including:
With 400+ live projects on site and a further £75m secured for 2026, this is a long-term, secure programme offering real variety and progression.
Key Responsibilities

Managing projects from feasibility through to completion

Coordinating consultants, contractors and stakeholders

Monitoring programme, cost, risk and quality

Ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with client requirements

Reporting progress to senior stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
-
Broad construction experience across RIBA stages
-
Background with a main contractor (Tier 1 / Tier 2 preferred)

Strong commercial awareness and safety-first mindset

Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a live environment

Eligibility for SC Clearance (no dual nationality and no significant overseas work in the last 5 years)
