About the Role and Client:
Our client is seeking a dedicated Purchasing Assistant to provide administrative support to the Purchasing Department. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the timely acquisition of materials and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Responsibilities:

Act as the first point of contact for suppliers

Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently

Handle goods-in paperwork

Check and collate order acknowledgements

Liaise with scheduling/production teams regarding delivery updates

Monitor stock levels
-
Track orders and resolve delivery issues with suppliers

Maintain supplier records and monitor delivery times for KPI compliance

Provide general administrative support to the Purchasing Team
Candidate Requirements:
-
Previous administrative experience preferred
-
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
-
Ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment

Strong communication skills, verbal and written
-
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
