All about the role: Fynamore Primary School are seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspirational, highly motivated, resourceful and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, welcoming team. This role will be for a Named Pupil. Proven experience of working alongside children with severe and complex physical disabilities is desirable. The successful candidate will be working within a skilled and caring team. They will be expected to provide support to a named pupil 1:1 in small groups or a whole class setting. The successful applicant will need to: be patient and nurturing, alongside being firm and fair be a team player with a 'can do' attitude be willing to embrace and support the ethos of our school be able to communicate well and build supportive relationships with staff, pupils and parents have high expectations in everything they do have a desire to improve their practice further understand that some children may have emotional barriers to learning that need to be supported be able to support children to overcome emotional triggers in a supportive and calm way Undertake physical tasks in relation to the care of the pupil. These may include lifting, feeding, dressing, changing, use of standing frames, undertaking exercises as directed by an Occupational Therapist or Speech Therapist. Full training will be given.
