As Marketing Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in coordinating consumer marketing activity across Royal Collection Trust sites, including Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle. From supporting campaign delivery to managing creative assets and reporting on visitor insight, your work will help ensure our exhibitions, palaces and galleries are enjoyed by audiences from around the world.
Supporting the Marketing Manager and working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager, you’ll contribute to every stage of our campaigns, ensuring our brand is represented with accuracy, creativity and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- You’ll support the design and production of artwork for advertising, signage and marketing collateral, working with internal teams and external design agencies.
- You’ll coordinate day‑to‑day relationships with media buying agencies, ensuring deadlines are met and budgets are monitored.
- You’ll compile the annual production and distribution schedule for marketing materials across London, Windsor and Edinburgh, acting as the main point of contact for designers and printers.
- You’ll help maintain brand consistency by advising colleagues on brand guidelines and proofing materials for external loans and touring exhibitions.
- You’ll support the Marketing team through social media monitoring, copywriting, editing and picture research and by managing the library of consumer marketing images.
- You’ll assist with marketing partnerships and third‑party promotions, ensuring internal teams are fully briefed.
- You’ll coordinate visitor surveys and research projects, analyse data, and prepare campaign evaluation reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- You’ll support daily operations by processing invoices, managing the marketing inbox, maintaining filing systems and assisting with press events and administrative tasks.
Essential Criteria:
- With previous marketing experience, ideally involving external agencies such as media buyers or designers, you’ll be confident supporting multi‑channel campaigns.
- You’ll understand digital marketing and keep up with social media trends, along with having experience analysing market research data and preparing reports.
- Digitally fluent, you’ll have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and be comfortable managing multiple systems and files.
- Excellent written skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential, enabling you to proofread, edit and produce accurate content for a range of audiences.
- A flair for design and typography will help you contribute to high‑quality creative output.
- With strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, you’ll build effective relationships with colleagues, agencies and stakeholders.
- Highly organised, self‑motivated and proactive, you’ll be able to prioritise competing deadlines and work well under pressure.
- A collaborative approach, sound judgement and a genuine interest in the arts and marketing will ensure you thrive as part of our close, supportive team.
