Client Payroll Administrator (Education Managed Services)

We’re recruiting Client Payroll Administrators to join our Payroll Services team. This role is ideal for individuals who are organised, detail-oriented and customer-focused, and who are looking to build a career within payroll or shared services.
You’ll play a key role in supporting Payroll Managers and Team Leaders by ensuring payroll administration is accurate, compliant and delivered to a high standard.
This role will be recruited via an in-person assessment centre at our Manchester office on Monday 19th January 2026 from 10:00 to 15:30. Please only apply for the role if you are available to attend on this date.
What you’ll be doing

Supporting the accurate processing of client payrolls

Managing and maintaining client documentation and records

Updating documentation for newly onboarded clients

Maintaining monthly spreadsheets and payroll trackers

Handling incoming calls and directing queries appropriately

Verifying BACS and HMRC submissions for accuracy and timeliness

Completing data entry checks and audit log reviews

Supporting year-end processes, including distribution of P60s

Providing general administrative support to Payroll Managers and Team Leads
What we’re looking for

Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Good organisation and time-management skills

A customer-focused mindset with clear communication skills

Willingness to learn and support a busy payroll function

Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Previous experience in payroll or administration is beneficial but not essential — full training and support will be provided.
