Accounts Assistant
We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our client, a global organisation trading across the US, Middle East and Europe. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity within a fast-paced finance team based at the company’s headquarters in West Suffolk.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive finance support, working in a structured and disciplined manner while consistently meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Operations
- Raise sales invoices and customer statements
- Manage credit control and resolve customer queries
- Code, process, and enter supplier invoices, ensuring appropriate authorisation
- Handle supplier queries professionally and efficiently
- Prepare and process payment runs
- Match payments and receipts
- Monitor and manage the finance inbox
Reconciliations & Expenses
- Reconcile UK and US credit and debit cards
- Reconcile petty cash
- Support staff expenses, including matching costs to projects (e.g. launches, conferences)
- Maintain accurate filing of finance documents and contracts
Support & Compliance
- Assist with audit preparation
- Provide holiday cover for other finance team members
- Support internal teams with finance-related queries
- Carry out ad hoc finance tasks and analysis as required
About You
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance support role
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Confident communicator with a proactive approach
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
