Fraser Edwards are currently working with an engineering construction company providing water treatment works.
Due to continued growth, our client is recruiting for an experienced Civils Operative \ Groundworker for a long term contract role.
The Job:
Works will be undertaken on a water treatment site.
- Carry out groundworks including excavation, ducting, and drainage installation.
- Lay and backfill pipework for water and wastewater systems.
- Install concrete foundations, slabs, and chambers to specification.
- Assist with formwork, shuttering, and reinforcement for structures.
- Support installation of tanks, kiosks, and mechanical equipment bases.
- Operate small plant and tools (e.g., whacker plates, breakers, saws) safely.
- Work in line with site RAMS, permits, and environmental controls.
- Maintain a clean, safe working area and follow site health and safety procedures.
- Assist trades and machine operators as required.
- Report hazards, near misses, and defects promptly to the site supervisor.
Candidate Requirements:
- Full UK Driver’s Licence
- Able to work to deadlines while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
- Good communication and customer service skills
