We are partnering with a well-established fire safety and life safety contractor operating across the UK, specialising in smoke control, fire dampers and passive fire protection systems.
The business has recently secured significant new smoke control contracts, further strengthening an already robust order book. As a result of this growth, they are expanding their engineering and supervisory teams ahead of project mobilisation in January 2026.
This organisation is known for delivering high-quality, compliant solutions on complex commercial and retail estates, with a strong focus on safety, technical competence and long-term staff development.
The role
We are recruiting Fire Damper Engineers, as well as Lead, Senior and Supervisor-level professionals, to support a growing portfolio of works across commercial, retail and public-sector sites.
Responsibilities will vary depending on level but may include:

Inspection, testing, installation and remediation of fire and smoke dampers

Working in line with BS 9999, BS 9991 and DW/144

Completing digital reports, certification and compliance documentation
-
Supervising engineers and coordinating works on site (senior roles)

Acting as a point of contact for site management and clients

Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification

Supporting quality control and mentoring junior engineers where applicable
About you
We are keen to speak with candidates who have:

Proven experience working with fire dampers (testing, installation or remediation)

A strong understanding of passive fire protection and smoke control compliance

Relevant qualifications (NVQ, vocational fire damper training or equivalent)

Experience reading drawings and specifications
-
Supervisory or leadership experience (for Lead / Senior / Supervisor roles)

A professional, safety-first approach to work

Full UK driving licence (preferred)
