Salary: £38,487 per annum
Hours: Full-Time, 37 hours per week

The Role
We are working on behalf of a well-established education provider to recruit an Apprenticeship Skills Tutor – Plastering. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training, assessment, and support to apprentices, ensuring they develop the practical skills, knowledge, and behaviours required to successfully complete their apprenticeship and progress within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and effective apprenticeship training in Plastering, both on-site and in the workplace

Assess apprentice competence against apprenticeship standards and awarding body requirements

Carry out regular workplace visits to monitor progress, provide feedback, and support employer engagement

Plan, prepare, and deliver teaching sessions aligned with apprenticeship frameworks and end-point assessment requirements

Maintain accurate and up-to-date learner records, assessments, and progress reviews

Support apprentices with functional skills, off-the-job training requirements, and personal development

Work closely with employers to ensure training meets industry needs and compliance standards

Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and quality assurance procedures are followed at all times
Requirements

Occupational competence in Plastering with relevant industry experience

A recognised teaching Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)

Assessing qualification TAQA / A1 / D32–D33

Experience delivering or assessing apprenticeships within a construction setting (desirable)

Strong organisational and communication skills

Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities
