*Responsibilities of a Sale Dental Nurse:*
* Presenting professionally each day with a clean uniform.
* Arriving punctually to work.
* Confidently working unsupervised in surgery alongside a dentist or hygiene therapist.
* Maintaining effective knowledge of dental equipment, materials, and the treatments we provide.
* Understanding and navigating the Exact & Dental compliance system proficiently.
* Assisting clinicians with accurate note-taking.
* Keeping the surgery tidy and fully stocked.
* Efficiently preparing instruments, trays, and equipment for procedures.
* Properly closing down the surgery at the end of the day, following our systems and procedures.
* Practicing active listening and empathetic communication, ensuring a patient-centered journey that upholds our reputation.
* Ensuring all lab work due is ready in surgery at the start of the day.
* Supporting clinicians in collecting testimonials, reveal videos, reviews, and treatment plan acceptance.
* Having a clear understanding of treatments and costs involved.
* Possessing knowledge and skills to discuss finance and payment methods with patients.
* Understanding Denplan and its offerings.
* Maintaining cleanliness throughout the practice.
* Being fully immunised
*Skills That Earn a Higher Hourly Rate:*
* Radiography, clinical photography, and digital scanning expertise.
* Reception support—assisting with admin tasks and patient recalls.
* Proficiency in setting up patient finance and explaining options clearly.
* Understanding of practice audits and their completion process.
* Knowledge of risk assessments conducted within the practice.
* Competence in patient photography for treatment documentation.
* Ability to assist with digital scans efficiently.
* Basic knowledge to support a specialist or special interest dentist.
* Active involvement in nursing department development, offering help and guidance when needed.
*Must be willing to work 2 late nights until 8pm with shorter working hours on other days.*
