Finance Assistant / Trainee Assistant Accountant

37 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Trainee Assistant Accountant to join our team on a permanent basis.
This role will support the production of timely, accurate, and high-quality financial information, including but not limited to, annual financial statements, monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts, balance sheet and control account reconciliations.
The postholder will also support the Finance Business Partner – Asset & Property Services in delivering an effective, commercially focused, efficient, and professional finance business partnering service.
You will be required to work in the office one day per week.
Key responsibilities include:
· Recording fixed asset additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation within the fixed asset register and general ledger
· Maintaining the fixed asset register to ensure accuracy and compliance
· Maintaining and updating finance procedure documentation
Requirements
· Able to demonstrate a proven ability to deliver against key objectives, or a strong foundation of skills and experience with the potential to develop and meet the full requirements of the role.
· Passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience.
· Work experience in a similar accounting or finance role is desirable.
· Beneficial if working towards an AAT qualification; if not, we are happy to support your studies.
· Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
· We welcome candidates who have gained their skills and experience through a variety of routes, including formal education and practical work experience.
