Warehouse Operative Technician
6-Month Fixed Term Contract – Starting February 2026

Salary: £24,500 – £27,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm (hours may vary to meet business needs)
Location: West Berkshire – this is a remote site, therefore a valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and reliable Warehouse Operative Technician to join our Operations and Warehouse team at our West Berkshire site. This is a hands-on role where you will be involved in the full operational lifecycle, from manufacturing support and equipment maintenance through to warehousing, loading, and distribution.
You will play a key part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate movement of goods, while also contributing to continuous improvement projects that enhance team performance, operational processes, and your own professional development.
What You’ll Be Doing
No two days are the same, but your responsibilities will include:

Supporting manufacturing and distribution operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality output

Coordinating materials for production and ensuring stock is stored safely and accurately

Picking, packing, loading, and unloading incoming and outgoing consignments

Planning storage and supporting seasonal distribution requirements

Completing paperwork and records accurately and in line with company standards

Carrying out regular stock checks, site housekeeping, and equipment maintenance

Identifying and reporting out-of-spec products, machinery issues, or non-conformances and assisting with resolution

Upholding Health & Safety standards at all times, reporting incidents and near misses and supporting corrective actions

Communicating daily with the team to highlight stock shortages, challenges, and priorities

Supporting and undertaking operational improvement and development projects

Attending training opportunities relevant to your role and development

Experience or working knowledge of warehouse and distribution operations
Desirable:

Counterbalance or pivot steer forklift truck licence or experience

ADR awareness training

Experience supporting manufacturing or technical operations
