As a Vet Nurse with a massive passion for excellent care for pets, recruiting for this position is a journey to attract the very best nurse in Oxford to join our prestigious Best UK Vets Team. Let me talk to you about our amazing newly bought clinic!
This popular and buzzy surgery is now safely back in the hands of an independently owned team after leaving the corporate world. The surgery is well known locally for giving the very best care to pets from all around Oxford with many long serving and loyal clients (the also love nurse clinics!). Most certainly a team to be proud of and with great surroundings to enjoy time away from the surgery - great close transport links too!
The Vet and Nurse team are being encouraged to grow again so that we can increase our service and support each other in taking the title of the best vets in Oxford! This surgery has more plus points than I’ve ever seen in a busy branch role for a long time! The team are completely committed, friendly, knowledgeable, supportive and rather clever! A little bit about them ...
_*Care*_ – Amazing ethos regarding standards and care each which every pet should automatically receive
_*Cases*_ – Due to the high calibre accessible network of excellence of ortho surgeons, medicine vets, imaging vets, our team are able to offer great care, on site and we hope to launch a 24 hour hospital in Oxford soon!
_*Team*_ – We have available a separate customer service team, Managers are available to help you get to where you need to be and a call centre to take away those pesky phone calls!
_*Team Events*_ – Picnic’s with prosecco, awards ceremonies held on the Thames where you can get to know fellow colleagues from branches and dance until the early hours.
_*Hours*_ – Our surgery recognise that hours aren’t necessarily best worked on shift patters of earlies and lates. Our clinically experienced Management team respect and value their nurses greatly therefore a mixture of hours that are suitable to the team member are offered at point of contract! Are you an early bird? late bird, mid shift bird? No OOH either :) Great! This position can offer all!
_*CPD*_ – Many of our independent nursing team are undertaking or have achieved certificates in behaviour, physio, nutrition, critical care, anaesthesia.
_*Salary*_ – the big one. Ironic really as due to the big responsibility of excellent care of each pet, the salary is industry heavy for Oxford too. To £36,000 per annum. Read it twice. I had to!
What would we want from you in return? :
*Care* – you must be dedicated to giving the very best pet care.
*Approach* – you must be professional, friendly, have a strong ethos for team spirit and support and an extremely positive outlook on your profession and working within our vital industry.
*Qualification* – Due to our nurses being highly valued in our consultations offered, you will need to be an RVN or very, very near to qualification.
If you’ve read this amazing role however, are unable to move at present, would one of your friends or colleagues be interested? We offer an incredible referral scheme so that everyone wins! Contact me! I'm Claire and whilst I'm a successful Director of an independent team I'm also a nurse of experience looking to welcome you to our family.
