Description
In this role, as an Assistant Accountant you'll be a key part of the finance team, making sure everything runs smoothly and accurately. Your work will help shape important business decisions and keep things on track. Day-to-day, you'll:
Pull together weekly and monthly management accounts with clear KPIs
Spot trends and explain differences with variance analysis
Keep bank and cash reconciliations accurate and up to date
Handle payroll analysis and journals
Manage accruals and prepayments
Check balance sheets and dig into any variances
Support with budgets, forecasts, and year-end audits
Help strengthen financial controls through internal audit
Profile
What makes you successful in this role ?
Qualified by experience or working towards ACCA, CIMA, or AAT
At least 3 years' experience in a similar role with strong management accounts knowledge
Excellent IT skills, especially MS Excel
Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across the business
High attention to detail and accuracy
