*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join our veterinary practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients, supporting veterinarians, and ensuring a comfortable environment for both animals and clients. *Duties*
* Assisting veterinarians during consultations, surgeries, and examinations
* Administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed
* Monitoring anaesthesia and assisting with surgical procedures
* Collecting and processing laboratory samples for diagnostic testing
* Providing pre- and post-operative care to animals
* Maintaining detailed medical records for all patients
* Cleaning and sterilising surgical instruments and equipment
* Advising clients on animal health, nutrition, and general care
* Supporting the team with administrative tasks as required
*Qualifications*
* Previous veterinary experience is essential, demonstrating familiarity with clinical procedures and animal handling
* Laboratory experience is highly desirable, including sample collection and processing techniques
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and patient care
* Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* A recognised qualification in veterinary nursing or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level applicants
