Our client, a long-established family firm with a network of branches in the South and East of England, that supply machinery and services to the agricultural, construction and professional ground care machinery markets are looking for a Purchase Office Assistant to join their team based at offices near Maldon, Essex.

The Role
As a Purchase Office Assistant, you will be working within a small, supportive team and playing a key role in delivering first-class administrative support to the department. You will also ensure effective and accurate communication between suppliers and colleagues across the business.
Key Responsibilities of the Purchase Office Assistant
- Provide administrative support to the purchasing department
- Maintain clear and professional communication with suppliers and staff
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in documentation and reporting
- Assist with day-to-day purchasing operations and departmental tasks
Candidate Requirements
- Ideally experience within an agriculture, engineering or construction environment
- Excellent communication skills, with a polite and professional manner
- Ability to interact confidently at all levels of the company
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
- Accuracy with numbers and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Self-motivated, flexible, and approachable
- Ability to learn quickly, take responsibility, and meet deadlines
- Confident, proactive, and able to show initiative
