Executive Assistant (12-Month Maternity Cover, 30 Hours/Week)
Location: Office-based, Shipley, Yorkshire
Salary: £22,400 – £25,600 per annum (pro rata)
Contract: Part-time, Fixed-term (12 months)

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a varied and impactful role, providing high-level support over a 12-month maternity cover contract.
You’ll be joining a friendly, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, and your ability to stay calm, organised, and one step ahead will make you an invaluable part of the team.
Key Responsibilities

Managing a complex diary and coordinating meetings, events, and commitments

Handling incoming calls, emails, social media messages, and face-to-face enquiries

Providing high-level executive support and acting as a key liaison point
-
Supporting the planning and delivery of events, including logistics and on-the-day coordination
-
Maintaining databases and handling administrative casework
-
Building strong working relationships with stakeholders and colleagues
-
Processing expenses and completing reconciliation tasks
-
Ensuring compliance with data protection requirements and maintaining accurate records
-
Supervising one junior team member and preparing briefing materials
-
Taking minutes and supporting meetings as needed

Being flexible for occasional travel and out-of-hours duties when required
Person Specification

Essential:
-
Experience supporting a senior leader as a PA or Executive Assistant
-
Excellent written communication and correspondence drafting skills
-
Confident, friendly, and professional approach when dealing with people

Strong organisational ability and experience delivering successful events
-
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
-
Experience managing or supervising others
-
Excellent multitasking and prioritisation skills
-
Strong minute-taking and summarisation abilities
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong IT skills

Solid understanding of relevant legislation and how it may affect local stakeholders
Desirable:

Experience in a politically sensitive or public-facing environment
