Key Responsibilities
→ Support the finance team with daily tasks, queries, and ongoing requirements in a fast-paced engineering environment.
→ Assist with transactional processing, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, invoicing, and expense management.
→ Perform bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
→ Help maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with internal processes and project-related workflows.
→ Contribute to VAT and/or CIS submissions, supporting accurate preparation and ensuring compliant, timely reporting.
→ Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to support cost tracking, coding, and financial control on E&I projects.
→ Assist with month-end routines, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations.
→ Provide proactive support on ad hoc finance tasks, reporting, and continuous improvements within the department.
We’d Love to Hear From You If You Have:
→ AAT qualification (Level 3/4) or are currently working towards it (or equivalent).
→ Strong communication skills, with the confidence to work collaboratively across different teams — including engineers, project managers, and site staff.
→ A proactive, hands-on approach, especially in a fast-growing and changing environment.
→ Solid organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
→ Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality financial data.
→ Experience within engineering, construction, utilities, or project-based industries (desirable but not essential).
→ Working knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel.
