About the Role
Crystalight Group manages a substantial development pipeline including multiple conversions, refurbishments, new builds and planning applications across several counties.
We are looking for a highly organised Planning & Development Assistant to support our Planning & Development Manager and help drive projects forward. You will assist with planning submissions, Building Control coordination, consultant management, construction documentation and general development administration across more than a dozen active sites. This is a varied and fast-paced role offering exposure to every stage of property development.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and submit planning applications, variations and discharge of conditions

Manage planning documentation and upload to Planning Portal

Coordinate Building Control inspections and maintain BC compliance records

Liaise with architects, QS, structural engineers and planning consultants

Track project timelines, deadlines and risk points

Assist with construction programme updates and progress reports

Manage version control of drawings, reports and technical documents

Support lender Monitoring Surveyor requests and monthly reporting

Attend occasional site visits to gather photos and updates

Maintain a central development filing system across all projects
Requirements

Strong administrative or document-control background (property/construction preferred)

Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail

Confident communicating with councils, consultants and contractors

Ability to manage multiple deadlines across different projects

Proficient with Excel, PDF software and digital filing systems

Interest in planning, architecture or property development (training provided)

Full UK driving licence (desirable)
