Position: Primary Teaching Assistant (Full Time)
Location: City Centre, Liverpool
Start Date: January 2026 - July 2026
Salary: £90 - £110 per day - Pay to scale from 12 weeks (Salary dependent on experience)
Aspire People are working with a friendly one-form entry primary school in the city centre of Liverpool, who are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from January 2026.

The role is a two-term position, with the potential to extend into the next academic year or lead to a permanent opportunity within the school.
The role:
- Supporting a class within a positive, engaging, and inclusive environment.
- Assisting with planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners in line with the curriculum.
- Supporting the delivery of high-quality phonics sessions and targeted interventions using the Read Write Inc. programme.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, colleagues, and support staff to ensure every child reaches their full potential.
- Providing support to children with additional needs, working closely with the SENDCo and wider team to provide tailored learning opportunities.
- Creating a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.
- Assisting with maintaining records of progress and providing meaningful feedback to pupils and parents.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school and its close-knit community.
What we're looking for:
- A passionate and motivated Teaching Assistant with experience working in primary schools within the UK.
- A strong understanding of the national curriculum and supporting children's learning and development.
- A flexible and supportive practitioner who can adapt to the varying needs of the pupils.
- A nurturing, patient, and positive approach to child development and classroom support.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
- The ability to provide two professional references.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
