*Shift patterns :*
_*This job involves shift work 2 days on/ 4 days off on a rolling rota including sleeping in on those 2 days which could include bank holidays, weekends and public holidays.*_

*Responsibilities:*
* To provide high quality, safe therapeutic care to children, acting as a leader and role model to all.
* To actively contribute to creating and maintaining a therapeutic home whilst always considering the children’s wishes and preferences.
* To take an active role in training new and existing team members.
* To actively promote and educate others on the Model PACE (playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy) and all other psychological concepts used within the home.
* To make and support others to make decisions that are in the children's best interests, home and Ubuntu Group- by leading and challenging poor practice.
* Acknowledge and celebrate positive moments from children and staff
* To be alert to signs of distress, neglect or abuse, ensuring that the children are monitored and protected.
* To attend professional meetings on behalf of Ubuntu Group and challenge professionals where appropriate.
* To know, understand and promote Ubuntu Group’s service delivery as a leading provider of therapeutic childcare, as an overall exemplary ambassador.

_*Education, Training and Qualifications*_
* Minimum one year of experience working with children.
* Hold or willing to work towards a level 3 or 4 Diploma in Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent.
* Full UK Driving Licence (required)
