*Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems in a variety of settings, including commercial, and industrial environments. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to work safely and efficiently. The successful applicant will contribute to ensuring our clients' heating systems operate reliably and efficiently, providing comfort and safety.
In this role, you will carry out a variety of plumbing and heating activities across various commercial customer sites within the South West (Bristol, South Glos, North Somerset, Somerset). You will be responsible for installations, servicing, and maintenance, attending sites independently or as part of a small team.
*Responsibilities*
* Install, service, and repair heating systems such as boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating.
* Conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance of heating equipment.
* Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and plumbing tools to carry out tasks accurately.
* Troubleshoot mechanical issues using technical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
* Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used.
* Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and building codes.
* Assist with the installation of related systems such as ventilation or plumbing when required.
*Requirements*
* Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or similar role within the industry.
* Proficiency with welding, plumbing, basic carpentry, and assembly tasks.
* Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues effectively.
* Excellent communications skills
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
* Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working in confined spaces.
* Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points)
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
* Enhanced DBS
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
