We currently have a vacancy for an Asset Management Assistant to join our Facilities and Assets team.
The Combined Authority approximately has 14,000 bus stops, 20 bus stations and interchanges, rail stations, car parks, turning circles and other miscellaneous properties. You will provide assistance to the Asset Manager in the repair and maintenance of the on-street infrastructure and properties owned by the Combined Authority.
You will undertake sites visits, issuing works orders for repairs and changes to infrastructure, updating the database and responding to local issues involving all aspects of infrastructure. You will take a proactive and corporate approach to leading your team, including participation and delivery of your directorate’s objectives. You will be responsible for demonstrating commitment to corporate processes and ensuring that these are delivered at all times.
You will be a visible and enthusiastic team leader, encouraging partnership working across the organisation. You will motivate your team, taking a positive approach to their development. You will be responsible for small bus station site management, including cleaning, facilities, resources, legislative compliance and coordination of multiple partners, enabling effective operations. The role will be based at any bus station within West Yorkshire and will incorporate relief cover as required. The Role
Reporting to the Assets Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
· Undertaking sites visits, issuing works orders for repairs and changes to infrastructure, and updating the database and responding to local issues involving all aspects of infrastructure.
· You will take a pro-active and corporate approach to leading your team, including participation and delivery of your directorate’s objectives.
· You must have good motivation skills to ensure targets are achieved and asset care is to the highest standard.
· You will also have a high level of health and safety awareness to enforce all aspects of health and safety including quality standards, auditing and fully understanding the legal implications of unsafe working.

About You
You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience:
· Educated to GCSE or equivalent relevant education/ experience.
· Practical experience of successfully performing in a similar role.
· Experience of NRSWA, Health and Safety and Equality legislation.
· Competent user of MS office packages.
· Knowledge and experience of on-street infrastructure.
