Catering Supervisor
North Manchester General Hospital – Crumpsall M8 5RB

Working 5 days out of 7 per week on a flexible rota
No fixed shifts – minimum of 15 hours per week to a maximum of 37.5 hours per week.
Operational hours 07.00-19.00 every day. Flexibility required to work any shift between these hours.
Band 3 - £13.60/hr (Weekdays), £18.36/hr (Saturdays) & £22.99 (Sundays/Bank Holidays)

We have 2 x ongoing long-term placements available for Catering Supervisors at North Manchester General Hospital in Crumpsall. You will need to be flexible on your availability, as this role is rota based, working 5 days out of 7 with a minimum of 15 hours per week to a maximum of 37.5 hours per week.
Duties include:
The successful Catering Supervisors will be able to use their initiative to provide the following support to the Catering team.
· Leading the catering team and person in charge on shift.
· Managing the needs of the team as required.
· Basic food preparation.
· Temperature checking and serving of food.
· General cleaning of the kitchen and restaurant areas.
· Assisting with delivery and return of food trollies to the wards.
· Responsible for the safe use of kitchen equipment.
· General stores upkeep.
· To complete any other tasks as directed by the line manager.
The skills required are:
· Experience as a team leader or supervisor is required.
· Experience working in a kitchen or food service environment is essential.
· Food Hygiene Level 2 Certification essential.
· Great communication and organisation skills.
· Needs to be physically fit.
