Assistant Project Manager
Location: Near Halifax
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits

Our client is a long-established, privately owned consultancy of Chartered Building Surveyors and Architectural Design professionals, delivering high-quality projects across commercial, industrial, education, retail and residential sectors.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of complex, design-led schemes from site acquisition through to handover.
The Opportunity
You will join a respected, specialist team with a reputation for quality, integrity and professionalism. Working closely with senior project leads, you’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating design teams, managing technical information, and ensuring projects progress smoothly and efficiently. This is a role for someone who takes pride in precision, communication, and client care.
What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting senior staff in developing client briefs and establishing project requirements.

Conducting detailed background research including planning history, constraints, and site intelligence.

Procuring and coordinating specialist consultants—structural, M&E, ecology, fire, environmental and more.

Managing Planning & Building Regulation submissions, monitoring progress through to approval.

Liaising with statutory bodies, utilities providers and external stakeholders.

Reviewing design and consultant documentation to ensure alignment with project objectives.

Coordinating project information flow, documentation and key deliverables.

Attending client, consultant and internal team meetings as an integral project representative.
Who We’re Looking For

Degree or HND in a construction-related discipline.

At least 5 years experience within construction project management, technical coordination or document control.

Solid understanding of planning processes, design procurement and construction best practice.

Knowledge of CDM and Health & Safety requirements.

Strong IT capability, including Microsoft Office and MS Project.

Confident communicator with excellent organisation, attention to detail and professional presence.

Motivated, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities with ease.
