Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm (Term Time Only)
Pay: £105–£110 per day

A warm, inclusive mainstream primary school in Finchley (N3) is seeking a confident and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2026. There is potential for an earlier start for the right candidate. The school is well-resourced, supportive, and committed to providing the highest quality provision for children with additional needs.
What We’re Looking For

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

Minimum 1 year of experience working in education

Experience supporting children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech & language needs preferred)

A calm, patient and adaptable approach

Strong initiative and excellent communication skills
Your Role
-
Provide tailored 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with additional needs

Implement strategies recommended by the SENCO and external professionals

Assist in creating a positive, nurturing environment that supports emotional regulation and learning

Adapt activities to suit individual learning styles and needs

Work closely with the class teacher to ensure pupils can access the curriculum

Build trusting, supportive relationships with children, staff and families

Contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing across the school
