Pupil Support Assistant
We are seeking a committed and compassionate Pupil Support Assistant to join a specialist primary SEND school in L36. You will be working full-time with KS1 children with autism, providing tailored support to help them access learning, develop communication skills, and build confidence in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support for KS1 pupils with autism

Assist teachers in delivering adapted lessons and interventions

Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and social interaction

Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and families to ensure consistent support

Contribute to the wider school community and inclusive ethos
About You

Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly autism (school-based experience desirable)

Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with strong communication skills

Able to adapt quickly and use creative strategies to engage learners

Passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs
