About the Role
Power & Infrastructure Resourcing Ltd is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll & Finance Assistant to join our Doncaster-based team on a maternity cover contract, starting as soon as possible.
You’ll play a key role in supporting our finance department, ensuring the accurate processing of payrolls, invoices, and financial administration for our growing rail and infrastructure workforce.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation and processing of weekly and monthly payrolls

Maintain accurate employee and contractor records, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations

Process invoices, purchase orders, and expenses

Reconcile accounts and support with month-end reporting

Provide payroll and finance-related support to both internal teams and external workers

Assist the Finance Manager with ad-hoc administrative and reporting tasks
About You

Previous experience in a payroll or finance assistant position

Knowledge of payroll legislation and accounting principles

Strong numerical and organisational skills with attention to detail

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/payroll systems

Excellent communication skills and ability to work to deadlines Team player with a positive and professional attitude
