Our client is the preferred distributor of some of the world’s most distinguished international fabric brands as well as having a creative home furnishing store. They have a career growth opportunity for a professional, well-presented Frontline Accounts Administrator to join their dynamic team in their Cape Town branch.

What we require you to do:
- Answering switchboard timeously.
- Follow up efficiently with all client’s account queries and invoice queries.
- Marking invoices arrived against orders placed as soon as shipment arrived and checking that meterages, price and fabrics are correct.
- Sending invoices to clients to request payment and advise them of arrival.
- Following up regularly with clients re invoices awaiting payment.
- Arrange delivery of orders each day by producing a delivery sheet for Albert.
- Allocating payments received against invoices.
- Notifying accounts department of payments with corresponding invoice no’s.
- Arranging deposits of cheques and cash received as payment for invoices.
- Sending banking recon through to accounts.
- Control petty cash and doing a weekly recon.
- Sending a monthly petty cash recon to the Managers and ensuring it balances.
- Arranging lunch for clients as necessary.
- Following up on orders not arrived as per order file.
- Marking off credits done for goods returned for credit.
- Advising showroom clients of discontinued fabrics.
- Filing of invoices and banking.
- Keeping record of client invites accepted for launches.
- Ordering stationery and monitoring levels of same and ensuring no stationery is out of stock.
- Logging of calls for all computer issues. Trying to assist with computer problems where possible.
- Assisting with doing client proformas when necessary.
- Learning how to place client orders should the need arise.
- Helping monitor stock levels of fabric cuttings.
- Assisting the Branch manager with office administration as required.
What we need from you:
- Grade 12 / Matric essential.
- An Accounts / Business Administration qualification is preferred.
- High level of computer literacy in MS Office.
- Basic knowledge of Pastel accounting advantageous.
- 3+ years’ relevant similar experience essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a good command of English.
- High attention to detail.
- A team player, who is keen to learn and grow.
- Previous experience in a similar environment is advantageous.
What we offer you:
- Salary of R12500 to 14500pm commensurate with experience.
- Professional and pleasant working environment with a close-knit team.
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 08h30 to 17h00.
- Required to work from 10am to 13h00 every 5th Saturday (Rotational basis).
