Our client based in Bedford are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader on a late shift.
The role involves:-

Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Warehouse Operatives

Assign and monitor daily tasks to ensure timely and accurate order picking

Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates

Promote and maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures
-
Conduct regular safety inspections and address any identified hazards
-
Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements
-
Oversee the picking process to ensure accuracy and efficiency

Monitor workflow and adjust staffing levels as needed to meet operational demands

Ensure all picked orders meet quality standards and customer requirements

Conduct random checks on picked orders to verify accuracy

Address any discrepancies or errors promptly

Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the picking team

Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members
-
Identify training needs and coordinate training
-
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Collaborate with other supervisors and managers to share best practices and drive overall warehouse performance
-
As a key holder you will participate in an on-call rota with other Managers/Supervisors for any security issues/breaches out of hours and will be required to comply with security requirements when opening and locking the site
