My client are currently seeking an Inspector for their specialist manufacturing facility based in Alfreton.
Your day to day duties will include, but won’t be limited to;

Reading micrometers, verniers, general inspection and measuring equipment

Reading and working from engineering drawings
-
Working with hand tools and air tools, eg hand drills, files, die grinders, pencil grinders, hacksaws and taps, etc.

Light fabrication work/panel beating
-
Taking responsibility for quality control of own work, before and after finishing
-
Following company standard working procedures
-
Basic computer skills
-
Following clear instructions and documented procedures
-
Following guidelines Health and Safety and use of PPE equipment
-
Understanding paperwork/route card discipline
Personal Characteristics;

Excellent communicator, collaborator and team player

Strong work ethic and willingness to work over-time as/when needed to meet business needs

Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team

Able to follow clear instructions and follow documented procedures

Ability to recognise problems when they arise and to communicate these to management

Hours of work are;
(Overtime available upon request)
